My original contact with the Reverie Sound Review was with the single One Marathon, which became a song that still tugs at my heart strings to this day. It is a very simple sounding tune as far as indie pop music goes, but complexity does not always make for better music. One Marathon was part of a six song EP released in 2003. The band didn’t necessarily break up after that, but they basically went on their seperate artistic paths due to the inconvenience of living long distances away from each other all over Canada. In the meantime, they did gather long enough to complete an actual full length album (also known as an LP for you youngsters, which stands for “long play”), FINALLY released in…. wait for it…. 2009!
Will they tour? Probably not. Will they make more music together in the future? I damn sure hope so.
