Dry Martina
Official Website: http://www.myspace.com/drymartinasingstheswingWhere To Buy Their Music: So far, EP on iTunes & Amazon.comOrigin: Spain, mostly. The first thing to understand about Dry Martina is that THEY are a band, not a person. Though I am sure you are interested to know who the sultry, honey tounged vocalist is, no? Of course… Her name is Laura Insausti, and she does get credit for being the original conspirator of the group, pulling talent from not only Spain, but also Australia and New Hampshire of all places. They come together to form a jazz-pop super group of sorts who has recently (as I write this in fall of 2010) been signed to BMG. Their first album is due out sometime before the end of this year, and it is definitely on my to-buy list. This would be a wonderful group to see live, by the way, in case they ever come to a city near you. Confía en mí.
